Kruitzner by Harriet Lee

Sublunary Editions/Empyrean Series, 2024.

Masterpiece of style, admired by Byron and De Quincey. Gorgeously weird Gothic thriller from 1801, filtered through late-James syntax and psycho-convolutions. Kind of "thin" I like: clocks in under 200 pp, feels like an immersive 500.
